Update on recent outage

Some of our users experienced difficulties yesterday, around 5:45PM MST,  with not being able to access their condo websites and communication portals. This was the first ever outage we experienced with GeniePad since our public launch. But, it was a good outage in a way.

The reason some of you were experiencing problems was quite simple. GeniePad grew to such a stage that it outgrew our servers. We had a big spike in usage over the past few weeks, new accounts being created, more and more users using it to its full potential, and the servers just couldn't handle such a load/usage. 

Once we were aware of this problem, which was about a minute after it happened, we started upgrading our servers right away and the problem was resolved. 

So why did I mention that it was a good outage? Because GeniePad is growing at a great pace, and it proves that our residents, board members, homeowner associations, and property managers really see the benefit in using it as their website and communication portal.

Difficulties in accessing accounts

Some users are experiencing difficulties in accessing their accounts. Both the public website as well as the communication portal.
